CHICAGOLAND FCA ATHLETICS

CHICAGOLAND FCA ATHLETICS

Program Details

FCA Force Football was founded on the principle of molding young men through FAITH, FAMILY, and FOOTBALL. Our program strives to teach the values of respect, teamwork, and service to our Lord Jesus Christ. Young men learn the basics of football, while implementing instruction and skills they will carry with them to higher levels of competition.

FCA Force participates in the Chicagoland Pop Warner Little Scholars organization. It is the only youth football program in the country that young athletes are held accountable for maintaining their scholastic profile while participating in youth football. The Chicagoland pop Warner organization has over 44 associations throughout the greater Chicago area, with seven different weight divisions.

[7] HOW MUCH FOOTBALL CONTACT HAPPENS DURING PRACTICE?
The Pop Warner organization has very strict guidelines on practice time and the amount of "football contact," that goes on during practice. These guidelines are followed and encouraged by FCA Force Football. The rules are implemented for the safety of players, which includes; maximum 2 hours of practice (6 hours / week), of which there can only be up to 40 minutes of contact during each practice.

FCA Force Football primary focus is the development young men spiritually, emotionally, and physically through the game of football. Every player will get the opportunity to practice and play at the position that best allows him to succeed and help the team. The Pop Warner organization has set guidelines for the minimum playing time for each player on the football roster. The term set by Pop Warner is MPR (minimum play requirement). This guidelines is; each player must play a minimum of 10 plays per game, which amounts to approximately 20-30% of the each game. The FCA Force association does not focus on wins and loses, but on the development of every young athlete and the importance of team play.

[12] IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
Our organization name, FCA, stands for Fellowship Of Christian Athletes. Although it is not required to be a "Christian" to participate in our youth football program, the participates and their family should be opened to conversations centered around Bible based principles. We begin and end each practice / game with a prayer, as well as encouraging our entire organization (players, coaches, parents, volunteers) to be respectful of our mission; FAITH, FAMILY, FOOTBALL.

Thank you, God Bless, and GO FORCE,
