FCA Force Week 1 Results

FCA Force Football kicked off the season with a slate of four games for their home opener.

The day kicked off with the 10U team lead by a host of newcomers to the program. The game was back and forth all game until Plainfield cut FCA lead in half moving through the fourth quarter. Coach Stubbs decided to run the clock out and keep the ball on the ground to pull out the victory 13-6.

The second game feature the FCA 12U team vs. Rolling Meadows. This was a incredibly tough game for the recently assembled team. The score was three games to zero, but doesn't tell the entire story. Coach John Melody said following the game he was extremely proud and looks to build from the effort today.

The 12:00 game was an awesome onslaught by the FCA 13U team, also lead by John Melody. The game was dominated on the ground and through the air, leading the Force 26-6 over the Plainfield.

The final game of the afternoon was the FCA 14U team matching up against the spring Pop Warner defending champions Rolling Meadows. The game was back and forth through the first three quarters, with RM taking a two score lead in the fourth on a long 40 yard pass TD. The final score was 25-15. FCA 14U will look to rebound the next time they take the field.

All in all, the record for FCA Force was 2-2 on the day. Not to shabby a start, despite the monster heat. Thank you for all your support to start the season fans.
